Poornima, a Chennai-based self-taught artist. Her artistic journey began in childhood, born from passion and curiosity. Today, that early spark has evolved into a full-fledged career grounded in both versatility and soul.

 

Working across mediums charcoal, graphite, color pencils, acrylic, resin, and even pencil carving. Poornima brings to life a unique blend of technique and feeling. Her art speaks not only through vibrant visuals but through the quiet language of emotion. Inspired by nature, everyday life, and the subtleties of human connection, she crafts pieces that resonate with themes of love, resilience, and introspection.

Still at the beginning of her professional journey, Poornima embraces the road ahead with humility and eagerness to grow. “There’s so much to learn,” she says, “and so many stories yet to be painted.”

Since 2015, she has also been taking on commission work, primarily focusing on portraits using graphite, charcoal, color pencils.

Her works have been exhibited at notable venues such as Lalit Kala Akademi, C.P. Art Center, and Cholamandalam Artists’ Village, marking her growing presence in the art community.

Still in the early stages of her professional journey, Poornima moves forward with humility and an eagerness to evolve.
